call for submissions to casaBrandon Gallery

casaBrandon Gallery invites artists working in any medium to submit work for exhibition in 2009. Coordinated by Argentine artist and curator Sebastián Freire, casaBrandon Gallery is a fundamental element of the casaBrandon cultural center and promotes cutting edge works of art that support sexual diversity and an anti-homophobic discourse, independent of any orientation.

Its objective is to exhibit work by national and international artists that transcends stereotypes about the gay community. At the same time, conscious of the danger of ghettification inherent in identity-based projects, casaBrandon Gallery seeks to promote cultural integration and debate around new paradigms of coexistence and openness to the world.

• please submit a CD or DVD with:
-min. 10 images giving an overview of the artist's trajectory, focusing on most recent work; for installations, please submit a sketch
-an explanatory text
-an up-to-date CV including name(s), mailing address, email address, telephone
