Sonic youth did the Reading Festival that year, must have been part of the tour. Had a hand in picking the bill I think, Nirvana 5th on the bill, headlined next year. Never been able to get excited about them myself, though it was a good gig, absorbing wall of sound.
Sonic Youth totally turn me on, as did Nirvana.... lucky you
